Guided Mountain Bike Rides

guided mountain bike riding
With years of riding the local mountain bike trails we have chosen some of the best parts of the area to ride.

All rides run to the pace of the slowest rider, however to maximise your enjoyment for the ride we would suggest that you ensure you have a sufficient fitness level to cycle for the length of the ride and sufficient skills to cycle the route.

All rides are limited to a maximum of 10 riders per guide. Day rides cost £35, half day rides are £20.

Limited Fitness Required Harlestone Ride
Moderate Fitness Required Herts Hills Ride Woburn Trails Half Day Ride
Cycle Specific Fitness Required Peak District - Mam Tor Day Ride

1) Harlestone (10am till 1pm)

A great half day to try out mountain biking to see if its for you. With some fantastic swoopy singletrack and not many hills - all at the pace of the slowest rider.
With a max of 3 hours riding time it gives us plenty of time to chat, gives some basic instruction and also try out some new moves to get you riding so you are placed to see if you think the Core SkillsCourse is your next step.

2) Herts Hills (10am till 1pm)

Come and see the best of Hertfordshires mountain biking countryside on a 25 mile route across a day, starting from Hitchin Train Station this ride is great for those in London wanting a day out. The ride takes in plenty of bridleways, adds in some hills to challenge even the fittest and some singletrack to enjoy, a great day out and a pub stop is included for lunch (lunch not provided), sorry but bike hire is not available for this ride.

3) Woburn (10am till 1pm)

A great mornings mountain biking of approx 12 miles of trails around Woburn Trails, this ride includes lots of technical terrain including some great descents and singletrack (the infamous Three Sisters and the Rollercoaster are included).
It also offers an opportunity to familiarise yourself with the routes around Woburn as well as gain experience of riding technical obstacles.

4) Derbyshire - Mam Tor (10am till 4pm)

The full National Park riding experience , taking in the hills of the Peak District with plenty of fast descents you would expect as well as the hill climbing. Not for those new to mountain biking we expect you to have some core skills to ride as well as fitness to climb the hills with. Please bring your lunch with you for this ride.
