Group Mountain Bike Rides or Training
Group bookings are available for mountain bike skills training, bike maintenance training or escorted mountain bike rides at a level tailored to the groups ability and ages.Events such as youth groups outings, courses tailored to schools curriculum requirements, Youth groups and family days have all been run in the past with great success and enjoyment.
Courses generally run over either a day or half day and can consist of either skills instruction, riding or a combination of both at Woburn Trails or Bike maintenance which is delivered indoors in a hands on workshop environment at either the Macintosh Centre, Northampton or at a venue local to you. Please note that groups must be a minimum of 4 people.
"On behalf of all of us who came on the course last weekend, a big THANK YOU!, It was well structured, unthreatening and really good value. Thanks so much for sharing your skills and insight with us – I’m sure we’re all more confident off-roaders as a result!"
Mountain Bike Riding for Schools or Youth Groups
We can organise rides mountain biking or just trail riding at either Woburn Trails or around Northamptonshire in a safe and supervised environment. We can transport the hire bikes to you and also arrange a packed lunch if required. All rides are risk assessed and taken by qualified and insured instructors. These rides are suitable as part of a PE GCSE or Outdoor Education module of the Diploma in Sport. Assessments for qualifications can be made in the week or weekend and on an individual or group basis. We would suggest a half day (3hrs) ride is sufficient for most young adults, if you would like a skills course this is usually ran over a full day (6hrs) but can be tailored to a half day if required.
We appreciate that you are busy and therefore aim to make the booking process as simple as possible for you, initially please call us to discuss what you would like, if you decide to go ahead and book then we require a Group Booking Form from you and also heights of each rider to size bikes to (each riders height is required a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the day). We would suggest that you also supply some adult helpers (ratio of at least 1:6) to facilitate the group.
All risk assessments, CRB checks, Insurance and first aid qualifications are in place (copies available on request).
Qualifications in Mountain Biking Skills and Bike Maintenance are available if required, please see below for more information.
