Mountain Bike Courses

Our Childrens mountain bike days cover the course structure of our Introductory mountain bike skills courses but in an environment more suitable for children with more fun and games involved. For teenagers and young adults the course is very similar to the Introductory Skills Course but tailored to the groups abilities. The following modules are covered during the day.

- Correct bike set up
- basic rider positioning
- Going uphill
- Getting downhill
- Cornering
- Drops offs
- Front wheel lifts and bunnyhops
- Balance techniques to improve your riding

All courses run 10am till approx 3pm

We follow the national Go Ride Mountain Bike scheme for all our Childrens courses which means that every rider also receives a certificate at teh end of the course.

Ages

The days cater for ages from 8 years to 17 years. To maximise everyones enjoyment on the day we divide courses into age groups and also split groups into ability levels each day with a maximum of 6 riders per group.

Cost

Cost: £70 per child (includes all instruction, permit to ride and cold drinks).

Location

Childrens days run at Woburn Trails, nr Milton Keynes.

2011 courses all fully booked - next courses run Easter Holidays 2012 - dates released early January 2012

You do not need not accompany your child on these courses but you will need to supply them with a drink, suitable mountain bike (with off-road tyres) and rain clothing.

Instructors

All instructors are Enhanced CRB checked and fully insured with copies of paperwork available on request. As these courses are children specific and are taken by CRB checked instructors there is no need for them to be accompanied by you on the day however they will need to be collected at the end of the course by a responsible adult.

Booking can be made online or reserved online and vouchers sent in to us. Once we have received payemnt we will send out the precourse ifomation to you which details where to meet and what your child will need with them for the day.
